TECH-NOURISH: Tech-Driven Food System Transformation

In a rapidly changing world, our programming session serves as a platform to explore groundbreaking solutions that harmonize technology, specifically AI and emerging tech, with the profound insights of Indigenous knowledge. Our aim is to bridge the gap between traditional and modern approaches, fostering the creation of a more resilient and equitable food ecosystem. This endeavor aligns with the recent global consensus that agriculture and food systems are integral to achieving the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement, as highlighted in the COP28 UAE DECLARATION ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE, RESILIENT FOOD SYSTEMS, AND CLIMATE ACTION. Additionally, over 200 non-state actors have signed the “Call to Action for Transforming Food Systems for People, Nature, and Climate,” emphasizing the need for time-bound global targets and locally relevant transition pathways. These international commitments underscore the pressing importance of our discussions on Food System Transformation driven by Technology.
